ABOUT
The Lawry Family Foundation was established in 2012. Its purpose is to direct grants and contributions of its funds, along with funds from the Lawry Family charitable gift fund. Our focus has primarily been on programs and institutions that support education, children’s health and welfare, our communities and the environment.
Donations and grants are made to both local and national organizations. Organizations that qualify for non-profit status from the IRS are eligible. In making our grant decisions, we consider how effective an organization is in pursuing its mission, how our contribution will further its impact or reach, as well as the quality of an organization’s stewardship and governance. We have no set minimum or maximum grant. Currently, we do not accept solicitations. Organizations with whom we have a personal connection are most likely to receive grants or donations.
Since the inception of the charitable gift fund in 1998, we have committed over $4 million in grants and donations.
